IIM Udaipur states that it endeavours to ensure that no student is deprived of education at the Institute for financial reasons. For the two-year MBA, the Institute therefore offers financial assistance in the form of tuition waivers, and the amount depends on an assessment of the student's need. Students who wish to apply must fill in the Financial Assistance Application Form online after admission. Since the MBA for the 2026-28 batch costs Rs. 22,51,258 in total, with Rs. 11,92,508 payable in Year 1 and Rs. 10,58,750 in Year 2, a tuition waiver can make a significant difference to the cost of the degree for deserving students.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance at IIM Udaipur
The BBA programme has a structured, scholarship-supported fee model. A merit-based scholarship is awarded to students in the top quartile of their cohort on academic performance and gives a 50 percent reduction in the following year's tuition fee from Year 2 onwards. A means-based scholarship follows a cohort-based approach, in which students in the bottom quartile of the verified family-income spectrum receive a 50 percent reduction in tuition fee for that year, and students must submit fresh income documents every year. When a student qualifies for both in the same year, the effect is cumulative, which means the student pays 25 percent of the full tuition fee for that year.
The impact over the programme is substantial. A student who earns merit and means support can complete the three-year BBA degree for about Rs. 1 lakh and the four-year BBA Honours for about Rs. 1.5 lakh, compared with the full level fees of Rs. 3,00,000 and Rs. 5,00,000. For example, a student who qualifies for means support in Year 2 pays Rs. 1,00,000 at registration and receives a refund of Rs. 50,000, so the net tuition is Rs. 50,000. The Institute also plans to pursue external funding from government programmes, corporate social responsibility initiatives and individual or institutional donors, and may cover any shortfall from its corpus. For the full level fees, see the fee structure page.
Doctoral students receive one of the most comprehensive funding packages offered by Indian business schools. The Doctoral Programme in Management is fully funded with a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000 for the first two years and Rs. 55,000 after clearing the comprehensive examination until the fifth year. Scholars also receive a publication incentive of Rs. 50,000 per paper in A-star or A category journals and Rs. 25,000 for B category journals, a contingency grant of Rs. 25,000 per year, a one-time laptop allowance of up to Rs. 1,00,000 and research and international conference funding of up to Rs. 4,00,000. The Executive PhD programme does not offer financial aid.
Students from reserved categories can also look at national schemes such as the National Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students and the Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students, which are administered by the Government of India. Partner banks, including the State Bank of India under its Scholar Education Loan Scheme and Canara Bank, provide education loan documents for the one-year MBA programmes, and the Executive MBA lists the SBI scheme. Applicants should confirm eligibility and timelines with the concerned scheme before they accept an offer. Information on eligibility for each programme is given on the admission page.
