Rankings and Approvals of IIM Udaipur

The Institute is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It achieved AACSB accreditation in November 2018, less than eight years after its establishment, and became the fourth IIM to attain this international accreditation and the youngest AACSB-accredited management school in India. Only a small share of business schools worldwide hold AACSB accreditation, and it signals that the Institute meets global standards on curriculum, faculty quality, research and learner outcomes.

International rankings add to this picture. IIM Udaipur was featured for the seventh consecutive year in the QS World University Rankings 2026 across three programmes: the Global MBA, which is the two-year MBA, the Masters in Management, which is the one-year MBA in Digital Enterprise Management, and the Masters in Global Supply Chain Management, which is the one-year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management. The earlier QS Masters in Management ranking placed the programme in the 151+ band, and the supply chain programme is listed in the 51+ band globally. The Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2025 also featured the Institute, marking its seventh consecutive appearance.

Research is a stated priority of the Institute. IIM Udaipur is ranked fourth in India for research in management, after ISB, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, on the UT Dallas methodology, which tracks publications in leading journals. The Institute's doctoral programme is itself aligned with AACSB standards, and faculty members hold doctoral degrees from reputed universities and publish in leading management journals. A strong research culture feeds into classroom teaching, case development and the centres of excellence on campus, which in turn support the live projects that students undertake in their programmes.
