IIM Udaipur publishes summer and final placement reports that follow the Indian Placement Reporting Standards and are audited by an external firm of chartered accountants. The latest audited final report for the flagship two-year MBA covers the batch of 2023-25. It records a highest maximum earning potential of Rs. 47.65 lakh per annum, an average of Rs. 17.58 lakh per annum and a median of Rs. 17 lakh per annum. The earlier audited batch of 2022-24 reported a highest package of about Rs. 47 lakh and an average of about Rs. 18.8 lakh. These figures reflect the way the report defines maximum earning potential, which adds guaranteed cash, performance-linked pay and other components of an offer.

Career Outlook After MBA at Indian Institute of Management Udaipur

Recruiters visiting the campus span banking and financial services, consulting, information technology and ITES, consumer goods and durables, e-commerce, logistics and manufacturing. Companies that have hired MBA graduates in the recent audited cycle include Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, American Express, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Amazon, Flipkart, Mahindra and Mahindra, Asian Paints and Wells Fargo. Roles are offered in consulting and strategy, finance, sales and marketing, general management, operations and supply chain management, and information technology. The first-year summer internship lasts about eight weeks and often becomes the bridge to a final offer.

The one-year programmes also report audited outcomes. In the audited final report for the MBA-GSCM batch of 2023-24, 49 students sought placement through the Institute and all 49 accepted offers, with a highest maximum earning potential of Rs. 41.66 lakh, an average of about Rs. 22.5 lakh and a median of Rs. 20 lakh per annum. Offers came from 23 recruiters across information technology, consulting, banking and financial services, consumer goods and logistics, mostly in roles related to consulting and strategy, operations and supply chain management, and analytics. Since these programmes admit candidates with at least 36 months of experience, outcomes are typically stronger in terms of average salary than the two-year batch.

Because the Executive MBA, the BBA, the doctoral programmes and the Executive PhD are aimed at working professionals, school leavers and researchers, they do not run a campus placement process in the same way. Executive MBA graduates typically use the degree to move up within their organisations or industries, while BBA graduates are supported by an alumni career opportunity portal that lets verified employers post openings for opted-in alumni. PhD scholars generally move into faculty and research roles at business schools and universities, supported by funded conference participation and an optional semester abroad. A closer look at the cost of these routes is available on the course fees page.

Prospective students should compare the investment against these outcomes. The two-year MBA costs Rs. 22,51,258 for the 2026-28 batch, so the average package of Rs. 17.58 lakh per annum should be read alongside the loan options provided by partner banks and the tuition waivers available for students with financial need. Candidates should also remember that placement statistics for a given year describe the batch that graduated in that year and not the batch that is about to join. Funding routes, loans and waivers are explained under scholarships.
