As a Government Grant-in-Aid institution, PG fees are significantly lower than at private Ayurvedic colleges. For 2025-26, the PG First Year fee is: Open/EWS/SEBC/EBC (Boys & Girls)- ₹57,500; OBC (Boys)- ₹88,258; SC/ST (Boys & Girls)- ₹3,500; Reserved Category (SBC/VJ-NT/OBC Girls)- ₹19,011. Additionally, ₹25,000 Caution Money is payable for 2025-26. These figures are from the official PG Fee Structure document at shriayurvednagpur.org. Fees are payable by DD in favour of 'Principal, Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur'.

BAMS admissions are based on NEET (UG) merit as per the rules of DMER (Directorate of Medical Education and Research), Maharashtra. 125 students are admitted annually: 15% (approximately 19 seats) through AACCC All India Quota counselling (aaccc.gov.in) and 85% (approximately 106 seats) through Maharashtra State CET Cell AYUSH counselling (cetcell.mahacet.org). The Central Research Laboratory at Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is a nationally recognised research facility whose monographs have been included in 'The Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India' by the Department of AYUSH. It studies drugs prepared by MD/MS Ayurveda students and has conducted work for external clients including pharmaceutical companies such as Parke-Davis and Warner-Lambert. The lab focuses on 'on-table demonstrations' of Ayurvedic fundamentals including Rasashastra procedures, Tridosha, Saptadhatu, Gada-Agada, and Gomutra standardisation under MGIRI Wardha / IIT New Delhi.

BAMS- 125 seats (15% from All India Quota via AACCC); MD/MS Ayurveda- 47 total PG seats across 13 subjects (Samhita Siddhant 6, Rachana Sharir 4, Kriya Sharir 3, Rasashastra 6, Dravyaguna 3, Agadtantra 3, Swasthavritta 3, Rognidan 3, Kayachikitsa 5, Shalyatantra 4, Shalakyatantra 3, Kaumarbhritya 2, Panchakarma 2); PhD- up to 33 seats across 11 subjects (Samhita Siddhant, Rachana Sharir, Kriya Sharir, Rasashastra, Agadtantra, Dravyaguna, Shalyatantra, Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Balrog, Yoga)- subject to guide availability.
