Nirma University provides merit and merit-cum-means scholarships to encourage deserving students. In the B.Tech programme, Category I offers a full tuition fee waiver to top rankers, with a JEE Main CRL rank of 1 to 5,500 or an ACPC merit rank of 1 to 75 for Computer Science and CSE-AIML, and a JEE rank of 1 to 20,000 or ACPC rank of 1 to 200 for the other branches. Category II gives Rs. 1,00,000 per annum to branch-wise toppers, with 36 scholarships through the All India category and 18 through ACPC, plus an open merit award for the top 12 JEE and top 6 ACPC candidates.

B.Tech Scholarships

Category III is a merit-cum-means scheme. Students whose family income is up to Rs. 4 lakh can receive Rs. 1,00,000 per annum through branch-wise slots, while an open merit scholarship of Rs. 50,000 per annum is offered to the top 43 JEE candidates and top 17 ACPC candidates with family income up to Rs. 8 lakh. Students receiving the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) scholarship are not eligible for other scholarships, but the university provides support of up to Rs. 50,000 per annum for expenses such as examination fees, books, stationery and transport.

MBA Scholarships

MBA and MBA (HRM) students can benefit from three categories. Category I awards Rs. 1,00,000 per annum to the top 23 All India candidates and top 7 ACPC candidates. Category II is merit-cum-means, giving Rs. 1,00,000 to 25 students whose parents earn up to Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 50,000 to another 38 students with parental income up to Rs. 8 lakh. Category III gives Rs. 1,00,000 per annum to students with an engineering degree who score 85 percentile or above in CAT.

B.Com. (Hons.) Scholarships

The Institute of Commerce offers Category I awards based on Class 12 marks, with Rs. 1,50,000 to the top student, Rs. 1,00,000 to the next three and Rs. 75,000 to the following three. Category II offers Rs. 1,50,000 to the top seven students with parental income up to Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 1,00,000 to the next eight with income up to Rs. 8 lakh. A student can claim a scholarship under only one category.

Renewal Conditions and Other Support

Scholarships are renewed every year subject to good conduct, no disciplinary action, no use of unfair means, minimum attendance and a CGPA of 7.0 or above with all courses cleared in the first attempt. NRI, NRI-Sponsored, PIO, foreign national and CIWGC students are not eligible for these scholarships, and no scholarship is available at Nirma University for the Global MBA. Students can also apply for education loans through the Vidya Lakshmi portal. Applicants should first understand the complete fee structure to estimate the benefit of each scheme.
