Professional Council Approvals

The Institute of Law's BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, BCom-LLB and LLM programmes are approved by the Bar Council of India, though 60 of the 120 seats in BBA LLB (Hons.) are noted as subject to Bar Council approval. The Institute of Management is listed as a member of the AACSB Business Education Alliance, and other institutes such as Pharmacy and Architecture are governed by the Pharmacy Council of India and the Council of Architecture respectively.

NIRF and Other Rankings

In the NIRF 2025 rankings released by the Ministry of Education, Nirma University was placed 53rd in the Management category and 33rd in the Law category, while it featured in the 101 to 150 band in both the Engineering and University categories. The university has also been ranked 21st among the Top 300 Universities in India in the Education World India Higher Education Rankings 2024-25. Earlier editions of national surveys also placed it among the top private and state private universities of the country.

Rankings are useful for comparison, but applicants should look at the specific institute and programme they are applying to, since accreditation, intake, fees and outcomes differ across the campus. Students should also confirm the latest approval status of the programme directly with the admission office, especially for seats that are subject to regulatory approval. The NIRF has consistently ranked Nirma University among the top 100 institutions in the country in various categories, and the 'A+' NAAC status applies to the university as well as each of its constituent institutes, including the Institute of Technology, which is also listed independently with the same grade. Together with AICTE, BCI and other regulatory approvals, this gives students a clear picture of the quality benchmarks the university is measured against. Students and parents are advised to check the approval of the exact programme and intake for the year of admission, because seat numbers and regulatory approvals are reviewed regularly.
