Rankings are most useful when they are read with placement data and admission cutoffs. A candidate who wants a career in consulting or finance may care more about recruiter mix and median pay than about a research-heavy score. The latest audited placement report shows an MBA average CTC of Rs. 19.26 LPA and a median of Rs. 18.00 LPA, and the PI shortlisting cutoff for the General category was a 95.25 overall percentile.
Candidates should also remember that the MBA, MBA-HR and MBA-BA share the same fee and the same campus, so a single ranking applies to all three, but outcomes can differ by programme: for instance, in 2024-25 the highest package was Rs. 50.39 LPA for the MBA, Rs. 35.30 LPA for the MBA-HR and Rs. 27.93 LPA for the MBA-BA. Prospective students should check the year of each ranking, the programmes it covers and its method, and confirm the latest position on the NIRF website and on the institute's own pages before they decide.
