Required Entrance Exams

JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test), conducted by NTA

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in Class XII (any stream) with a minimum of 60% marks in both Class X and Class XII.

Admission Process

Merit list prepared based on JIPMAT score combined with Class X and XII academic performance; no separate Group Discussion or Personal Interview round is conducted for IPM admissions.

Admission Process at IIM Jammu

MBA Admissions

MBA admissions are based on the Common Admission Test (CAT). Candidates need a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks, or 45 percent for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Shortlisting for the Personal Interview applies minimum CAT percentile cut-offs at two levels: first the Common Admission Process (CAP) minimum cut-off, and then IIM Jammu's own category- and gender-wise cut-offs. Candidates who meet the institute's own criteria can also be considered through the Supplementary Admission Process (SAP). The final merit list is prepared on a composite score out of 100, with 42 percent weightage for the CAT score, 30 percent for the Personal Interview and 28 percent for academic profile, including work experience and diversity. The application window for the MBA cycle runs from 1 August 2026 to 30 November 2026.

IPM Admissions

The five-year Integrated Program in Management is filled through JIPMAT, the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test conducted by the National Testing Agency for IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Applicants must have passed Class XII in any stream with at least 60 percent marks in both Class X and Class XII. The merit list combines the JIPMAT score with Class X and Class XII academic performance, and no separate Group Discussion or Personal Interview round is conducted. The application window for the IPM cycle runs from 1 February 2026 to 31 May 2026.

Other Programmes

The Executive MBA requires a bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST/PwD), a minimum of three years of full-time work experience and a valid CAT, GMAT or GRE score, or the IIM Jammu Admission Test (IIMJAT). The PhD programme requires a master's degree or equivalent with 55 percent marks for the general category and 50 percent for SC/ST/PwD, together with a valid CAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC-NET (JRF) or IIM Jammu Research Admission Test (IIMJ-RAT) score. The online eBBA (Hons.) admits students after Class XII through CUET or a merit list based on a composite of the eligibility examination score and academic profile. The Dual Degree B.Tech + MBA requires Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII along with valid JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores.
