Scholarships at NSUT

Beyond this category-based tuition waiver, NSUT students -- like students at other Delhi government universities -- remain eligible for a range of external scholarship schemes: the CVSPK (Chief Minister's) scheme offering tuition-fee relief based on family income for Delhi-domicile students, merit-based scholarships for top-performing students within specific branches, and central and state government post-matric scholarship schemes for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and minority-category students, most of which are administered independently of NSUT itself through the relevant state or central scholarship portal rather than the university's own fee office.

Because scholarship eligibility, amount and renewal conditions can change from one academic year to the next -- and because NSUT's fee structure already varies considerably by category, programme and specialisation even before any scholarship is applied -- applicants seriously budgeting for a specific NSUT programme are best served requesting the current scholarship policy in writing from the university's accounts or scholarship cell at the time of admission, via the official NSUT website, rather than assuming a scholarship amount seen on a third-party aggregator applies to their specific category and programme.

Applicants should also keep in mind that scholarship and fee-concession rules at government universities like NSUT can differ meaningfully from those at private institutions -- eligibility is often tied more tightly to statutory reservation categories and Delhi-domicile status than to broad merit-based criteria alone, and renewal conditions (where applicable) are typically governed by continued satisfactory academic performance rather than a fixed percentage threshold. Students from outside Delhi in particular should check whether a given scholarship scheme is restricted to Delhi-domicile candidates before assuming it applies to their own category and situation.
