Admission to the MBA, MBA (Tourism Management) and MBA (Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Management) programmes for the 2026-28 batch is based on the Common Admission Test, with CAT 2025 scores being used. IIM Sirmaur is part of the consortium of IIMs that conducts the Common Admission Process, and it follows a two-phase selection process. In the first phase, all eligible candidates who meet the category-wise cut-offs are shortlisted for a personal interview, which is conducted in offline mode and is common to the participating IIMs. In the second phase, a merit list is prepared using a composite score.

Offers of admission are made strictly in order of merit within each category. Candidates who accept an offer pay an acceptance fee to reserve their seat, and the remaining fee components are paid as per the amounts and timelines in the offer letter. Reservations follow Government of India norms: 27 percent for Non-Creamy Layer OBC, 15 percent for Scheduled Castes, 7.5 percent for Scheduled Tribes, up to 10 percent for Economically Weaker Sections and 5 percent for persons with benchmark disabilities. The institute also reserves forty seats for female students, and its supernumerary process has been integrated with the common admission process.
The Bachelor of Management Studies for the 2026-30 batch uses the IPMAT Aptitude Test Score conducted by IIM Indore. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of IPMAT and then evaluated on a composite score in which IPMAT carries 50 marks, an online interview 20 marks, academic performance in Classes 10 and 12 carries 25 marks, and gender diversity carries 5 marks. The age limit is a maximum of 20 years as on 1 August 2026, with a five-year relaxation for SC, ST and PwD candidates. IIM Indore has no role in selection, and the IPMAT fee is paid only to IIM Indore.
Final-year students may join provisionally if they submit a course completion certificate on or before registration, and pending marksheets and provisional degree certificates must be submitted by 30 October 2026 for the current cycle. All documents are verified in original, and any misrepresentation leads to disqualification. Applicants should also check the fee structure in advance. The PGPEX-LSM programme accepts applications through the official admission portal, with the last date for Cycle II applications announced as 30 January 2027.
Aspirants should regularly check their email and the official website for communication, since the admission committee may change parts of the policy during the process. Admission queries for MBA can be sent to the programme admission office, and BMS and PGPEX-LSM have separate contact points. To understand recent shortlisting levels, review the category-wise cutoff details before applying.
