IIM Rohtak offers financial assistance so that deserving students are able to complete their studies even when family resources are limited. Scholarships and Financial Assistance at IIM Rohtak

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship is available to students of the PGP (MBA) programme in both the first and the second year. It considers academic performance together with the financial situation of the family, and it can provide a complete fee waiver to the selected student. Since the PGP programme fee is Rs 8,95,000 per year, this support can be significant for those who qualify. Eligible students should apply through the process announced by the institute after joining.

SC/ST Need-Based Scholarship

Students from the SC and ST categories who have financial need can receive a full tuition fee waiver. Applicants must submit income and category documents as per the notice and are assessed by the institute's committee. Students may also check government scholarship schemes available through the National Scholarship Portal for which they are eligible.

Doctoral Programme Stipend and Fellowship

The Doctoral Programme in Management is fully funded. The tuition fee, which is Rs 2.5 lakh per year for the first two years, is waived for participants who receive the monthly stipend. The stipend is Rs 45,000 per month in the first and second years and Rs 50,000 per month in the third and fourth years after the comprehensive examination is cleared. In addition, a merit fellowship of Rs 10,000 per month in the second year and Rs 15,000 per month in the third and fourth years is given for satisfactory performance, together with a contingency grant of Rs 2,50,000 distributed across four years and support for conferences and academic exchange.

Participants of the doctoral programme remain responsible for food, electricity and water charges, the acceptance fee and the alumni fee. Students in other programmes should also remember that mess, hostel, placement facility and development charges are separate from the programme fee, and should plan their budget with the total cost in mind, which is Rs 20,02,500 for the two-year PGP.
