About Global Institute of Ayurveda

Official website

Global Institute of Ayurveda (GIA) and Global Ayurveda Hospital (GAH) are approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, and affiliated with Gujarat Ayurved University (GAU), Jamnagar. The institute and hospital were established in 2014 by Shri P.J. Mangrolia Charitable Trust. Located near the bank of the Triveni-Sangam river at Kasturbadham village on the Rajkot–Bhavnagar Highway, the campus is approximately 7 km from Aji Dam and 14 km from Rajkot city, in a pollution-free, quiet, and serene atmosphere solely dedicated to Ayurveda. The campus is surrounded by farms and wildlife — Neelgai and peacocks are seen throughout the year. The institute is well equipped with various departments for all professional years of BAMS (Ayurvedacharya). Classrooms have a capacity of 100 students each and are equipped with Audio–Visual facilities for digital education. The entire campus is under 24×7 CCTV surveillance. The herbal garden spans 2,500 sq. mt. with more than 300 types of Ayurvedic medicinal plants. There is a conference hall for seminars and extracurricular activities, and a playground for indoor and outdoor sports. The library contains more than 7,000 Ayurvedic and modern books along with journals and magazines. Well-equipped educational laboratories and Ayurvedic departments come with various charts, models, and the latest instruments for practicals and dissections. Students are taught Ayurveda by qualified MD and MS staff. The campus is free from addiction and ragging. The attached Global Ayurveda Hospital is a 60-bed NCISM-compliant institutional hospital with 8 different Outpatient Departments (OPDs). MD and MS Ayurveda Vaidyas serve alongside BAMS Vaidyas for the well-being of society. The hospital does not charge any consultation fee and provides free medication for 7 days, enabling patients from all strata of society to access healthcare. It is equipped with a modular operation theatre, modern Panchakarma theatre, physiotherapy unit, pathology laboratory (blood, sputum, urine, stool), X-ray, ECG, Video Proctoscopy for anorectal diagnosis, Auto-refractometer for eye check-up, and a medicinal dispensary. The Shalya Tantra department runs OPD and IPD and performs all kinds of surgical procedures since inception in 2014, with round-the-clock MS Ayurveda faculty, qualified nursing and OT staff on campus. All 14 departments are organized as per the latest NCISM guidelines.
