  • Candidates must apply to the Principal of their college to discontinue the course without penalty.

  • The penalty clause applies to discontinuation after 5 PM on October 14, 2026, as per Government Orders.

Exception for Upgraded Candidates

A Management Quota candidate who is upgraded to an MBBS seat under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) in the mop-up phase, after the free exit facility closes, will not face a penalty for leaving the Management Quota seat. This protects candidates who move to a better seat during the mop-up round.

What Medical Colleges Must Do

Principals have been told to return all original certificates and the entire fee to candidates who opt for free exit without delay. Colleges must also upload the data of such candidates to the admission portal by 5:30 PM on October 14, 2026.
