About XIM University
XIM University is a private Jesuit university in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, that traces its origin to the Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), established in 1987 through a social contract between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society. It became a full-fledged private university in 2013 under the Xavier University, Odisha Act, later amended in 2021. The university is registered with the UGC and holds NAAC 'A' Grade accreditation, along with NBA accreditation for its flagship MBA-BM program and SAQS accreditation for several PG and doctoral programs. XIM University runs 12 constituent schools spread across an old campus (20 acres, Xavier Square) and a new campus (55 acres, Harirajpur) in Bhubaneswar: Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), School of Human Resource Management, School of Rural Management, School of Sustainability, School of Human Settlements, School of Commerce, School of Communications, School of Economics, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Xavier Law School, School of Governance and Public Affairs, and School of Liberal Arts. It has more than 140 full-time faculty members. The university offers 11 undergraduate honours programs (B.Com, BBM, B.Sc. Media Studies, B.Sc. Economics, B.Tech CSE, BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, B.Sc. Sustainable Development, BA Public Administration & Governance, B.Sc. Economics, MA Mass Communication, M.Tech CSE, M.Sc. Psychology, MA English, and a one-year LLM), and Ph.D programs (Full-Time and Part-Time). Admission to all programs is purely merit-based through the university's own entrance tests (XEST for B.Tech, M-XLET/CLAT-linked process for Law, and XGMT or national tests like CAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT for MBA programs) followed by academic-record evaluation and a Personal Interview; the university states it does not offer admission through any management or NRI quota. Residential facilities (separate for men and women) are available on both campuses with 24x7 Wi-Fi; MBA and MMS-BF programs are residential/hostel-compulsory, while hostel is optional for other programs. All fee figures below are drawn directly from XIM University's official 'Fee Structure 2026' pages and are explicitly marked by the university as indicative, subject to change, and to be confirmed only in the admission offer letter.
