Every aspirant must appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), a common written test used for admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes, by registering at the official SNAP website. Candidates must simultaneously register with SIBM Pune directly and pay an additional registration fee (approximately Rs. 1,000 plus applicable government taxes); appearing for SNAP alone does not automatically qualify a candidate for the next stage of selection at SIBM Pune.

Admission Process

Every applicant must register for and appear in SNAP, followed by separate registration with SIBM Pune (with an additional registration fee). Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their SNAP score are called for Step II - Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test (GE-PIWAT), conducted online. The final merit list is prepared based on a composite of SNAP score, academic record and GE-PIWAT performance, and is published on the official SIBM Pune website.

Admission Process at SIBM Pune

Based on their SNAP score, shortlisted applicants are called for Step II of the selection process - the Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test (GE-PIWAT), which is conducted entirely online. Shortlists for GE-PIWAT and the final merit list are both published on the official SIBM Pune website as per the schedule notified each year; individual regret letters are not sent to candidates who are not shortlisted. The final merit list is prepared using a composite score that factors in the SNAP percentile, prior academic performance, and GE-PIWAT performance.
