The BAMS programme is 5.5 years: four professional years of 18 months each covering pre-clinical (Anatomy, Physiology, Samhita), para-clinical (Dravyaguna, Rasashastra, Roga Nidana, Agada Tantra, Swasthavritta), and clinical subjects (Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Shalya, Shalakya, Prasuti Tantra, Kaumarabhritya, Research Methodology), followed by a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship across all departments.
