About Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad
Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad came up in 1995 as the Santosh Medical/Dental Colleges and Hospitals, becoming one of the earliest private institutions in India to offer medical and dental education. The MBBS programme began in 1996 with an intake of around 50 students; it was recognised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from 2005, with intake later raised to 100 and then 150 seats (2021-22). Santosh Dental College similarly began BDS teaching in 1996 with about 40 seats annually, growing to 100 seats after 2005. Today Santosh is a NAAC Accredited, UGC-recognised Deemed to be University spread across a 26.61-acre green campus in Santosh Nagar, Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR), anchored by Santosh Hospitals - Ghaziabad's most trusted multispeciality hospital since 1990, with 900 beds. The University comprises three constituent colleges - Santosh Medical College, Santosh Dental College, and the Santosh Institute of Allied Health Sciences - offering UG, PG, super-specialty (DM), diploma, fellowship, certificate and doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes. Medical programmes include MBBS at UG level, and at PG level MD/MS across specialities such as General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Respiratory Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology, Radio-Diagnosis, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Microbiology, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion, and DM Nephrology, along with a Diploma in Public Health. Admission to all UG and PG Medical/Dental programmes (MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS) is exclusively through Central Government Counselling for Deemed Universities conducted by the DGHS (www.mcc.nic.in) based on NEET UG / NEET PG / NEET MDS scores; institute-wise seat-matrix and fee structure are published by DGHS/MCC and on the official downloadable fee documents on the university website. As per the official 'Program Fees PG (Medical) 2025' and 'Program Fees PG (Dental) 2026' pages, published yearly fees for 3-year PG programmes range widely by specialisation - for example MD Anatomy/Physiology at Rs.75,000/year, MD Biochemistry/Microbiology/Pharmacology at Rs.2,00,000/year, MD Pathology at Rs.11,00,000/year, MD General Medicine at Rs.50,00,000/year, MD Radio-Diagnosis at Rs.76,00,000/year, and MDS specialisations ranging from Rs.2,50,000/year (Oral Pathology) to Rs.10,00,000/year (Conservative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery); most clinical MD/MS/MDS residents also receive a monthly stipend (around Rs.56,010 for MD/MS and Rs.1,20,000 first-year stipend for MDS). MBBS and BDS fee structures are notified through official downloadable 'Program Fees UG (Medical/Dental) 2026' documents and the DGHS counselling bulletin rather than being published as a flat number on the website. The University runs a placement cell connecting students to leading healthcare organisations - the site records roughly 500 placements in clinical specialities (Paediatrics, ENT, Neurology, Dental, etc.) and about 900 placements in Nursing and paramedical roles (B.Sc/M.Sc Nursing, Hospital Administration, Lab Technicians, and other paramedical staff).
