GMC Ambikapur is the first medical college in Chhattisgarh to have an established skills laboratory. The lab supports competency-based medical education (CBME) by allowing students to practise clinical skills in a safe, simulated environment.

Fully equipped departmental laboratories for Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Anatomy — with departmental museums for specimen study.

A Sports Committee oversees indoor and outdoor sports facilities on the campus. Students actively participate in inter-college and state-level sports competitions.
