As a fully funded Government of Maharashtra medical college, the annual MBBS fee at RCSM GMC Kolhapur is approximately ₹1,52,300 per year (all-inclusive of tuition and other charges, AY 2024-25). Total for 5.5 years is approximately ₹8,37,650. Hostel and mess charges are extra and nominal. Fee is paid by Demand Draft in favour of 'Administrative Officer, RCSM Govt. Medical College, Kolhapur.' Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/VJ/NT) students can avail government freeship/scholarship through the Mahadbt portal, effectively reducing their out-of-pocket tuition to near zero.

As per Government Resolution No. MED 1007/CR-490/07/Ed-2 dated 8 February 2008, all candidates admitted to MBBS at Government/Municipal Corporation colleges in Maharashtra (including RCSM GMC Kolhapur) are required to sign a bond to serve the Government of Maharashtra / local self-government / Defence services for one year after completing their internship.
