Admission is entirely NEET-UG based. The Maharashtra State CET Cell conducts a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) with 85% State Quota seats (Maharashtra-domicile candidates, all constitutional reservations applicable) and 15% Institutional Quota seats open to All-India, NRI, and OMS candidates. Counselling includes Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round.

PPAMC is a constituent unit of Shri Yashwant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kodoli, and is named in memory of the late Shri Pradeep Yashwant Patil (Baba), a key figure behind the Mandal's institutional growth. The college was established in 2023 to provide Ayurveda and modern medical education alongside community healthcare services through its attached Yashwant Ayurvedic Hospital.

PPAMC offers the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme, a 5.5-year course (4.5 years academic study plus 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship), with an annual intake of 100 seats.

The 100-bed Yashwant Ayurvedic Hospital offers well-equipped OPD and IPD services, a 24x7 in-house pathology laboratory, a 24x7 in-house medical shop, and round-the-clock security, along with ample on-campus parking. Separate hostel accommodation is available for male and female students.
