The Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam (KAS), Shoranur is described on the PNNM official website as 'the world's first and world renowned Ayurveda Centre' with a heritage of more than 120 years. It functions as the attached teaching hospital of PNNM Ayurveda Medical College, providing clinical training for BAMS students, IPD/OPD services, traditional Kerala Ayurvedic therapies, Panchakarma, and its own 120+ year-old pharmacy and manufacturing facility.

Admission at PNNM is exclusively through Kerala's Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE Kerala) for state merit quota seats, not through Karnataka's KEA.
