As a government medical college operated by the Government of Odisha, MBBS fees at PMPMCH are highly subsidised. Comparable Odisha government colleges charge approximately ₹38,000–₹40,000/year. The exact fee structure will be published in the official OJEEB Information Brochure 2025-26. Hostel and miscellaneous charges are additional.

Prof. Dr. Kirtirekha Mohapatra, a professor from the OBG department of SCB Medical College and Hospital (Cuttack), has been appointed as the Dean and Principal of PMPMCH. Dr. Tarangini Das from the Anaesthesiology department of SCBMCH has been posted as Superintendent.

PMPMCH Talcher received NMC approval for 100 MBBS seats and commenced academic operations from AY 2025-26. The approval was announced on 2 September 2025 by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

As of AY 2025-26, PMPMCH offers only the MBBS programme (100 seats). Postgraduate MD/MS programmes have not yet been announced. These may be introduced in subsequent years subject to NMC approval and hospital infrastructure meeting PG requirements.
