Admissions to LIET's B.Tech programme follow the standard AKTU/UPTAC process for 85% of seats, with 15% available through management quota / direct admission. The JEE Main score is the primary criterion for B.Tech admission through the state counselling route. Unlike some private colleges that set very high minimum cutoffs, LIET maintains accessible admission standards - a minimum of 45% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and English plus one additional subject (Chemistry, Biology, or Technical Vocational subject) is sufficient to be eligible for B.Tech. For the Co-op variant of B.Tech, which requires students to maintain professional conduct during their work terms, a minimum of 60% aggregate in the same subjects is required.

The application process at LIET can be completed both online and offline. Online applications are submitted through the official LIET website (liet.in), while students who prefer in-person assistance can visit the campus. The application fee is ₹600 - unusually low compared to many private colleges that charge ₹1,500–₹2,000 for processing. After application, selected students are required to pay the first installment of fees to confirm their seat. LIET allows tuition fee payments in installments (note: hostel/mess fees and security deposits must be paid in full).

UPTAC Counselling: What LIET Aspirants Need to Know

LIET's B.Tech admissions through UPTAC follow the same centralised state counselling process as all other AKTU-affiliated private colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Students receive an UPTAC rank based on their JEE Main score and participate in online choice filling, document verification, and seat allotment across multiple rounds. LIET's closing ranks through UPTAC are more accessible than the top-tier AKTU private colleges like NIET or KIET, making it a realistic option for students with JEE Main percentiles in the 50–70 range who want a structured, industry-connected engineering education in the Greater Noida corridor.

For the management quota pathway - the 15% of seats filled outside centralised counselling - students should apply directly through LIET's admissions office. This pathway is available for candidates who missed UPTAC deadlines, scored lower than the UPTAC closing rank, or are transferring from other institutions. Direct admission under the management quota is based on JEE Main merit among applicants, and the fee structure for management quota seats is the same as for state counselling seats at LIET.
