KMC Medical College and Hospital, Maharajganj (KMCMC Maharajganj), is a landmark institution — the first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) medical college in Uttar Pradesh — established in 2024 by the Shanti Foundation under an MoU signed in 2022 with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2024. Located in Village Kandh, Maharajganj, UP, on a 20-acre campus, KMCMC is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow, and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The KMC Digital Hospital (separate campus at Rudrapur village) is the main attached teaching hospital with 665+ beds, providing 24x7 emergency, ICU, NICU, OTs, MRI, CT, USG, blood bank, and Ayushman Bharat-empanelled care at affordable rates. Chairman and MD: Vinay Kumar Srivastava. Dean: Dr. Sankalp Dwivedi. Campus features: 5 fully AC lecture theatres (2 × 180 seats, 3 × 200/250/350 seats), new lecture theatre block (6 × 300 seats + 1 × 600 seats), smart classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, digital library, AC and non-AC hostels, cafeteria, sports, and recreation. Annual MBBS fee: approximately ₹12.14–14.14 lakh. No management or NRI quota. Admission through NEET-UG via UPDGME UP state counselling. NEET 2024 Round 1: 3,427 AIR (closing); Round 2: 2,504. The Shanti Foundation has created 800+ jobs in Maharajganj with plans to double, and supported 5,000+ students since 2012 (52% women; 63% of placed graduates female).

KMCMC Maharajganj is approximately 49 km from Gorakhpur Airport. Regular buses connect Gorakhpur to Maharajganj, with the journey taking approximately 2 hours depending on traffic.

KMCMC is neither fully government nor fully private — it is India's first PPP (Public-Private Partnership) medical college in Uttar Pradesh. An MoU was signed in 2022 between the Government of UP and the Shanti Foundation. It operates at the interface of private (Shanti Foundation) and government oversight. Admission is through UPDGME state counselling.
