The Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is one of India's premier public engineering institutions, established in 1985 as part of Jamia Millia Islamia — a Central University created by an Act of Parliament in 1988 and NAAC A++ accredited. FET JMI is ranked #27 in Engineering by NIRF 2025 and #24 in Engineering by NIRF 2024 — the second-best engineering college in Delhi after IIT Delhi. Yes. In 2018, JMI FET introduced B.Sc. Aeronautics (Mechanical/Avionics) — a dual-degree self-financed programme in partnership with Pawan Hans Limited. Graduates receive a B.Sc. degree from JMI + Certificate of Recognition from Pawan Hans. Upon passing the module exam, DGCA grants the Basic Maintenance Engineer's License.
