Admission Process at JLU Bhopal

For law programmes at the Jagran School of Law — B.A.LL.B. (Hons), B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons), LL.B. and LL.M. — admission is based on CLAT or JLU SAT scores followed by a personal interview; note that LSAT India has been discontinued from 2025 onwards for these programmes, making CLAT and JLU SAT the primary routes. For MBA across all its specialisations at the Jagran Lakecity Business School, JLU accepts CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT or JLU SAT scores, followed by a personal interview or group discussion round.

Most other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at JLU — including BBA, B.Com, BMS, BCA, MCA, BA (Hons), MA, B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration), B.Des, M.Des, B.Pharma, and the journalism and mass communication programmes — are admitted through JLU SAT or a merit-based evaluation of Class 12 or graduation marks, with CUET UG/PG scores also accepted as an alternative route. B.Arch admission specifically requires a valid NATA score, evaluated alongside JLU's own criteria, and Ph.D admission requires a Master's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate, cleared through the JLU Ph.D. Entrance Test and an interview, with NET/JRF/GATE preferred though not mandatory.

Applications for the 2026-27 session are accepted on a rolling basis, with the last date to apply generally falling around 31 August 2026, subject to seat availability across programmes. Because JLU does not follow centralised state counselling and instead runs its own rolling admission cycle, applicants are encouraged to apply early rather than wait until the deadline, and to check the scholarship eligibility for their intended programme at the same time, since several of JLU's scholarships are tied to the same entrance exam score used for admission.
