Hita AMC Bengaluru: NCISM-Recognised BAMS College with 60-Bed Hospital on a 6-Acre Green Campus near Nagasandra Metro, North Bengaluru
Kshathriya Educational Trust: Institutional Background and Leadership of Hita AMC
Hita AMC is established and governed by the Kshathriya Educational Trust®, under the leadership of Dr. Seetharamaiah R (Chairman), Shri. Basava Rajendra B P (Secretary), Shri. S N Nagesh (Treasurer), and trustees Shri. M Koteshwar and Shri. D R Arasa Hanumanthegowda. The Trust's mission — to set the standard for quality Ayurveda education and revivify the holistic alternative system of medicine — is reflected in the institutional design: a full 6-acre green campus in urban north Bengaluru, a functional 60-bed hospital established three years before the BAMS programme's first batch to ensure clinical infrastructure readiness, and a curriculum approach that integrates the wisdom of ancient Ayurveda with contemporary evidence-based knowledge. The Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent is Dr. Lakshmi Bapu Hulkund, MD (Ayurveda), who brings 16 years of professional experience to the institution.
Location Advantage: North Bengaluru's Best-Connected BAMS Campus — Metro, Airport, Rail & Bus
Hita AMC's location adjacent to Nagasandra Metro Station on Bengaluru's Green Line makes it one of the most transport-accessible Ayurvedic medical colleges in Karnataka. Students from any part of Bengaluru can commute directly by metro; those from outside the city arrive via Kempegowda International Airport (~25 km), Bengaluru City / Yeshwanthpur Railway Stations, or Kempegowda (Majestic) Bus Terminal, all connected to the Nagasandra area by metro or road. Being in north Bengaluru, the college is also well-positioned for students from North Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra who arrive by rail or bus at Yeshwanthpur. The 6-acre green campus environment — rare for an urban Bengaluru institution — provides a calm, nature-embedded study environment without any of the isolation disadvantages of colleges located in remote rural or semi-urban areas.
