GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Gotri, Vadodara was established in June 2011 under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society (GMERS). It received its first Letter of Permission from the Medical Council of India on 29th June 2011 and began admitting students from the 2011-12 academic year.

GMERS Gotri offers 200 MBBS seats per year (increased from 150 in 2019), 106 MD/MS postgraduate seats across multiple broad specialties, and 10 DNB seats. Of the MBBS seats, 85% (170 seats) are State Quota and 15% (30 seats) are NRI/All India Quota.

For the State/Government Quota, the annual MBBS tuition fee is approximately INR 2,50,000, with a total of approximately INR 11,25,000 for 4.5 years of study, plus a one-time deposit of INR 5,000. NRI Quota fee is approximately USD 16,000 per year. PG (MD/MS) fees range between INR 14,85,000 to 33,75,000 for the full 3-year course depending on specialty and quota. All fees are subject to revision by the regulatory authority.

Yes. GMERS Gotri provides separate hostels for boys, girls, interns, and postgraduate resident doctors. Rooms are fully furnished with tables, chairs, cupboards, and cots. Each hostel has an in-house mess providing hygienic food, a reading room, water purifiers, water coolers, and 24-hour water supply. Mandatory mess enrollment is required for hostel residents. An indoor gymnasium (Interns' Hostel), outdoor gymnasium, and volleyball court are also available.
