The Training and Placement Department - known internally as the Institute Industry Interface Cell - manages placement preparation from the third year onward through a 360-degree preparation model: aptitude training, coding workshops, mock interviews, group discussion practice, and industry visits are run as part of a structured calendar. Cognizant's 2023 placement drive, where they hired 120 B.Tech students from a single GCET recruitment cycle - the highest by any single recruiter in that year - is a measure of both the scale and the relationship quality GCET has built with major IT employers. Branch-Wise Placement Reality

CSE and IT are GCET's strongest placement branches - the bulk of high-package offers, the most recruiter visits, and the strongest student preparation culture are concentrated here. Students from ECE can access IT roles through software-track recruitment, though core ECE roles (hardware, embedded systems, VLSI, telecom) require independent preparation and targeted application to core employers outside campus placement. Mechanical and Civil Engineering placements at GCET, as at most NCR private colleges, are primarily in IT sector roles for non-core students and in manufacturing/construction for core-interested students - the latter requiring independent job search efforts beyond campus placement drives.
