Dr. Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College (PDMMC), Amravati, was established in 1984 by Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati, in memory of the legendary social reformer, agricultural scientist, and politician Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh (Bhausaheb Deshmukh). The Hospital & Research Centre was established in 1990. Located at Morshi Road, Shivaji Nagar, Panchvati Square, Amravati — in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra — PDMMC is affiliated to MUHS Nashik and approved by NMC. Dean is Dr. A.T. Deshmukh (MBBS, MD Pathology) and President is Shri Harshvardhan P. Deshmukh. PDMMC is the only private medical college in Amravati offering MBBS (150 seats) and MD/MS (53 seats, 15 departments). The campus is huge with well-equipped classrooms, lecture halls, demonstration halls, modern laboratories, auditorium, seminar hall, outdoor stadium, and compulsory separate hostels for boys and girls.
