Required Entrance Exams

JEE Main / CUET-UG — UPTAC

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 with Physics & Mathematics; third subject Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/technical-vocational. Minimum 45% aggregate (40% SC/ST/PwD).

Admission Process

1. Appear for JEE Main or CUET-UG. 2. Register on the UPTAC portal (uptac.admissions.nic.in) and pay the registration fee (approx. Rs.1,000). 3. Upload 10+2 mark sheets, scorecard, ID proof and category certificate. 4. Fill and lock college-branch preferences during the choice-filling window. 5. Seat allotment across 4 main rounds, 1 internal sliding round and 2 special rounds. 6. Pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted college with original documents. UP domicile candidates get 85% of seats (home state quota); the remaining 15% is open to all-India candidates. Reservation follows UP norms: OBC 27%, SC 21%, EWS 10%, ST 2%.

Important Notice

B.Tech offered in ~28 specialisations across AKTU's constituent units and 700+ affiliated colleges, with over 85,000 seats statewide via UPTAC. No management quota at government/government-aided colleges; private colleges may reserve up to 10% seats under management quota, handled directly by the respective college.

Required Entrance Exams

CUET-UG / Diploma in Engineering — UPTAC Lateral Entry

Eligibility Criteria

Diploma in Engineering (3 years, relevant branch) or B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics, minimum 45% (40% SC/ST). Direct entry into 2nd year of B.Tech.

Admission Process

Register on the UPTAC Lateral Entry portal, submit diploma/B.Sc. marksheets, ID proof and category certificate, and receive seat allotment based on merit rank.

Important Notice

Total fee for the 3-year lateral-entry programme ranges from INR 3.03–3.48 Lakhs depending on branch.

Required Entrance Exams

CUET-PG / CAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA — UPTAC PG

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation in any discipline, minimum 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories). Final-year graduation students may also apply.

Admission Process

Register on the UPTAC PG portal after the qualifying exam result, upload graduation marksheets and scorecard, fill and lock MBA college/specialisation preferences, and pay the seat acceptance fee after allotment. No Group Discussion or Personal Interview is held at the UPTAC stage.

Important Notice

MBA offered in 10 specialisations; total fee INR 1.33–1.84 Lakhs for the 2-year full-time programme.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation with Mathematics at graduation or 10+2 level, minimum 50% (45% SC/ST).

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, minimum 50% aggregate (45% SC/ST/PwD).

Admission Process

Appear for NATA or JEE Main Paper 2, register on UPTAC, upload scorecard and CoA eligibility documents, and participate in UPTAC's B.Arch counselling rounds.

Important Notice

B.Arch: 5-year programme at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning; total fee approx. INR 5.57 Lakhs.
