The B.E. fee at BMSCE depends on the admission quota. Under the Government (KCET) quota, annual tuition is approximately INR 58,806 — heavily subsidised by the Karnataka government. Under the private COMEDK quota, the annual fee is approximately INR 2,01,960. Under the Management Quota (25% of seats), fees range from INR 3 lakh/year (Civil, Mechanical) to INR 10 lakh/year (CSE). Hostel fees are separate, approximately INR 1.20–2.24 lakh per year including mess charges. SC/ST students admitted through KCET typically receive full tuition fee waivers under state government schemes.
BMSCE offers 14 B.E. undergraduate programmes: Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, CSE, ECE, EEE, Industrial Engineering and Management, ISE, EIE, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Electronics, and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. For the 2025 admissions, the KCET General Merit (GM) closing rank for CSE at BMSCE was approximately 2246 (opening) to 3870 (closing). The COMEDK UGET 2025 GM closing rank for CSE was approximately 2323 to 3689. For ISE, KCET closing rank was approximately 5200. Mechanical Engineering had a much higher closing rank (up to 35000+ for KCET GM). Cutoffs change yearly based on demand and performance.
In the 2025 placement season, 968 students were placed with 1,307 total offers from 383 companies. The highest package was INR 51.5 LPA and the overall average was INR 11.4 LPA. A total of 775 internship offers were made with a highest stipend of INR 98,000/month. NIRF 2025 reports a median UG salary of INR 8.5 LPA and PG median of INR 7.2 LPA.
