Yes. BAVMC Pune is a government medical college established and managed by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) through PMC-MET (Medical Education Trust). It is the first medical college of PMC. MBBS fees are very affordable at INR 1,03,000 per year as regulated by the Maharashtra FRA.
BAVMC Pune has 100 MBBS seats per year. 85 seats are under Maharashtra State Quota (CET Cell) and 15 seats are under All India Quota (MCC). As a municipal corporation college, there is no management or NRI quota.
BAVMC Pune is attached to Kamla Nehru Hospital (KNH), a 400-bed multispecialty government hospital run by PMC, located at Mangalwar Peth, Pune. KNH has a daily OPD of 700+ patients and 85% bed occupancy. It provides strong clinical material for MBBS training. Free registration and free food for in-patients.
The FRA-approved annual MBBS fee at BAVMC Pune for AY 2024-25 is INR 1,03,000. Total for 4.5 years (academic portion) is approximately INR 4,63,500. Additionally, hostel + transport fee is INR 80,000/year (excluding mess charges of INR 3,000–4,000/month) and a refundable deposit of INR 30,000.
