BGMCH was established in 2022 under the Government of West Bengal's Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS Phase II) and admitted its first MBBS batch in the 2022-23 academic year.

100 MBBS seats per year are approved by NMC. Of these, 15 seats (15%) fall under the All India Quota (AIQ) counselled by MCC, and 85 seats (85%) are under the West Bengal State Quota counselled by WBMCC.

The total tuition fee for the entire 5.5-year MBBS programme is approximately INR 40,500 as a government-subsidised institution. Additional charges for hostel, registration, examinations, and other amenities are levied separately.

Yes, separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls within the campus, with a combined capacity of approximately 500 beds. Rooms are furnished with internet, study areas, and common rooms.
