Frequently Asked Questions

AIIMS Bathinda PG admissions are through INI CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) — not NEET PG. INI CET is a separate, highly competitive national exam conducted by AIIMS New Delhi for all INI institutions (AIIMS, PGIMER, NIMHANS, JIPMER). This makes AIIMS Bathinda PG admissions distinct from all other medical colleges in India.

AIIMS Bathinda is ranked 18th in India under the Medical category by NIRF 2024 — making it the highest-ranked medical institution in Punjab and one of India's top 20 medical colleges. It has been awarded NAAC A++ Grade, the highest accreditation level possible.

AIIMS Bathinda provides fully furnished double-occupancy hostel rooms with 24/7 electricity, water with geysers, a student-run mess (~₹3,500/month), 24/7 canteen, TV/indoor games common rooms, laundry, and CCTV security. Academic infrastructure includes a 750-bed hospital, 40+ departments, 24/7 air-conditioned smart library with e-library (MyLOFT), modular OTs, and MRI/CT diagnostic facilities.

For the 2025 NEET UG, the General category Round 1 opening rank was 653 and closing rank was 1,732 — among the most competitive in India. In 2024, the closing rank was 6,478. In 2023, it was 1,762. Only approximately 6 candidates received allotment across all NEET 2021–2024 cycles, reflecting the intensity of competition.
