MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: What's the Latest?
This update is especially relevant for candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1, those who chose Float and want to try for an upgrade, and fresh candidates who skipped Round 1 altogether. Round 1 candidates who selected Freeze, on the other hand, are not eligible to participate further, as explained later in this article.
MCC's Round 1 final seat allotment result was declared on August 24, 2026, and candidates allotted seats were required to report to their institutes by August 31. Following this, MCC opened a seat resignation window for Freeze and Float candidates who wish to withdraw from their Round 1 seat, running from 2:00 PM on August 31 to 1:00 PM on September 2, 2026. MCC Round 2 Registration from September 3

Seat allotment for Round 2 will be processed after choice locking closes, with the result scheduled for release on September 11, 2026. Candidates can check their allotment status by logging into the MCC portal with their registered credentials.
Once results are declared, allotted candidates must decide between Freeze and Float again, and complete reporting at their allotted institute within the deadline specified in the schedule, currently indicated as September 18, 2026.
