  • At least 50 per cent aggregate marks for general candidates and 45 per cent for SC/ST candidates.
  • Final-year bachelor's students can apply, subject to eligibility.
  • Individual colleges may set their own criteria, so check the institute you want.

How to Apply

  1. Open the official KMAT website.
  2. Click the KMAT application tab on the homepage.

  4. Pay the application fee online.
  5. Submit the form and save a copy.

The fee is reported at Rs 1,230 including GST, the same for all categories. Earlier reports quoted a different amount, so confirm the figure on the portal before paying. Session 2 needs a fresh application, even for Session 1 candidates.

Exam Pattern at a Glance

  • 120 multiple-choice questions in three sections of 40 questions each.
  • MBA: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills and Basic Aptitude.
  • MCA: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills and Logical Reasoning.
  • Candidates can move between sections freely.

Reports differ on the exam mode. One says paper-and-pencil, while others describe a home-based remote-proctored online test. The mode awaits confirmation from the official notification.

What to Do Before the Deadline

Apply early, since the last days usually bring heavy traffic. Keep your degree details, photograph and signature ready. Session 2 suits those who missed Session 1 or want a better score. Session 1 results were reported out on 8 October.
