The government medical colleges include names familiar to anyone who has looked into Chhattisgarh admissions before, Pt. JNM Medical College in Raipur, Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences in Bilaspur, and government colleges in Rajnandgaon, Jagdalpur, Ambikapur, Raigarh, Kanker, Korba, Mahasamund, Durg, Manendragarh, Jashpur-Kunkuri, Kabirdham, Janjgir-Champa, and Geedam in Dantewada. On the private side, institutions like Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhilai and Raipur Institute of Medical Science feature among the larger seat contributors.
