About MBBS
A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical program (including a mandatory 1-year internship) for students who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). It qualifies graduates to practice as licensed doctors and forms the foundation for further specialization through postgraduate medical degrees.
Admission to every MBBS seat in India — government and private alike — is through a single national exam, NEET UG, followed by centralized or state-level counselling rounds based on the candidate's rank and category. Unlike most other courses, there is no institute-level alternative to NEET for MBBS admission.
Program Structure
Pre-Clinical & Para-Clinical (Years 1–2.5)

Clinical Phase & Internship (Years 3–5.5)
Clinical postings across Medicine, Surgery, and allied specialties, followed by a mandatory 1-year rotating internship.
