Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Schedule, Choice Filling & Allotment
The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Chennai, has released the tentative Round-II counselling schedule for admission to MBBS and BDS degree courses for the 2026–27 session. The counselling covers Tamil Nadu Government Medical and Dental Colleges, ESIC Medical College, K.K. Nagar, Chennai, Government and Management Quota seats in self-financing medical colleges, including NRI seats, as well as dental colleges, State Private Universities and other specified categories.
For Round 2, registration and payment will be open from September 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM to September 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates eligible for the process include those who registered in Round 1 but were not allotted a seat, candidates who were allotted but did not join, and eligible candidates seeking upgradation. Fresh registration is also permitted for candidates who did not register in Round 1, provided they had already applied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and their names appear in the published merit list.
Choice filling and locking will take place from September 9 at 2:00 PM to September 13 at 2:00 PM. Candidates are advised to select colleges carefully according to their preference. Choices not manually locked by the deadline will be automatically locked.
Virtual vacancy processing is scheduled for September 9, seat allotment processing for September 14, and the Round 2 result is scheduled for September 15, 2026. Provisional allotment orders can be downloaded from September 15 to September 18, with the last date of joining being September 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Candidates must download their allotment order, complete fee requirements where applicable, and report to the allotted college with original certificates for verification.
