Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026: Candidates Added to Government, Management, NRI & Minority Quotas After High Court Orders
The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Chennai, has released Notification No. 026/SCS1(1)/2026 dated September 8, 2026, announcing the inclusion of additional candidates in different admission quota categories for the academic year 2026–27 based on orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Madras.
Under the Government Quota, three candidates have been included. The candidates listed are Guhashree U (OC) with 501 NEET marks, Mohamed Irfan Pathan Y (BCM) with 402 marks, and Senthalai R (MBC&DNC) with 286 marks. Their respective ranks and community ranks are also provided in the notification.
Under the Management Quota, Sharaj K Santhosh, application number 26UG928570, has been included with 255 NEET marks following the High Court order in W.P. No. 35580 of 2026. Another candidate, Pragya Anand Deenadayalan, with 503 NEET marks, has been included under Management Quota pursuant to W.P. No. 35481 of 2026.
The notification also includes Aarna Khatri and J Rio Karsten under the NRI Quota, Reshmachanduni G S under the Telugu Minority Category, and S Arul Amuthan under the Person with Benchmark Disability Category.
